Mr. BEI Wenli, Secretary of CCP Committee Branch, Deputy Dean, School of Advanced International and Area Studies (SAIAS)-the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Institute; Deputy Director, Center for Russian Studies(CRS, MOE Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences); Deputy Director, Center for Belarus Studies, East China Normal University.He is also member of the Council for Shanghai Translators Association and the Council for Shanghai International Relations Association. His major research fields are Russian culture and art.
Mr.BEI Wenli got his Master’s Degree in Russian Literature at East China Normal University and has been Associate Professor since 1999. He visited at Pushkin State Russian Language Institute from 2002 till 2003. From 2005 till 2009, he worked atthe Section of Education, Chinese Embassy in Belarus.
So far, Mr. BEI Wenli has published over 20 academic papers and translation works, in addition to 2 monographs, 1 translation of works and 1 textbook. Besides, he has also translated 5 Russian literary films. In 2014, he was appointed member of the editorial board for the Collected Works of Putin 2012-2014. In the past five years, he presided over 2 projects, namely, “Russian Culture and Art during Transition” and “Dictation and Image Studies for Major Events in Sino-Soviet Relations”. Meanwhile, he participated as well in 3 national key projects in Humanities and Social Sciences by the MOE, that is, “Russian Social Transition since 1990s”, “Policy Studies regarding the Equality and Equilibrium of Elementary Education: from a Perspective of Harmonious Society”, “International Comparison in Diversification of Senior High School Curriculum”.
